About the event
Step into a winter evening filled with light and song as Norrsång presents the ancient tradition of Sankta Lucia. In Scandinavian folklore, Lucia appears on the longest night of the year, bringing light and hope through the darkness of winter.
Our unique interpretation combines traditional Swedish Lucia songs with familiar carols, arranged with rich harmonies and a folksy feel. Unlike more formal choral performances, Norrsång brings an intimate and authentic quality to these timeless melodies.
Watch as Lucia, crowned with candles, leads her procession of handmaidens through the space, their voices weaving together Swedish and English songs in warming harmony.
